I ended up giving Andrew Lorent Sunless Tanning Lotion 1.75 out of 5 stars. Needless to say, I didn’t like it.
First of all, they claim to be cruelty free and use the PETA logo on their bottle, but they aren’t listed on the PETA website for cruelty free products. Hmmm sounds fishy to me.
Also, I really wasn’t happy with the tan I got from this self tanner. My tan was barely there; it was SO light. I like to wake up feeling bronzed and sexy after I apply self tanner, and I woke up feeling like a pale ghost.
The smell is pretty bad as well; it smells like sour DHA.
I did like how quickly this one dried. It dried really fast, in under 15 minutes.
So overall, I was let down by this self tanner so I gave it 1.75 out of 5 stars.
Look and Feel
Andre Lorent Sunless Tanning Lotion is a thick, white lotion.
It very much resembles sunscreen or a body moisturizer.
The thick, white consistency of this tanner made it very difficult to blend into my skin.
I had to blend and blend for 5-10 minutes until the product had completely soaked in. I looked completely white until it blended in.
You don’t need to use a tanning mitt when applying this one, because the product is white. Just make sure to wash your hands after applying and you should be good to go.
The only thing I really loved about this product is how quickly it dried.
It dries so fast and I didn’t feel sticky while I waited for it to dry, huge plus!
In under 15 minutes my skin was dry and I felt like I could crawl in bed.
Smell (Before Application)
Andre Lorent Sunless Tanning Lotion smells very odd to me.
As I was applying it, it smelled like some kind of food (I can’t put my finger on exactly what kind).
I really didn’t like the smell; it smells like sour DHA.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
As it developed to sour DHA smell stuck around, but it faded a bit.
It wasn’t a pleasant smell!
After I showered it off the next day, I was left with a very light tan.
I was disappointed with how light it was, I wish I had gotten more color.
On me the color was almost non-existent, maybe it would be better for someone with extremely pale skin.
You’d definitely need to apply this one a few days in a row to see any color change.
How Long It Lasts
My tan was so light, so it really didn’t last long at all.
It lasted maybe one day than it had faded away.
OK For Men?
No, men I don’t think you’d like this one.
There are better ones out there for your money!
I purchased Andre Lorent Sunless Tanning Lotion for $40 on Amazon. However, it seems like their prices are all over the place. I’ve since seen it for $28, $60 and $25. I have no idea why they keep changing the price, but that’s very odd to me.
