I’m very happy with this self tanner so I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
My favorite part of this mousse is the color it produces. I left the tanner on for 3.5 hours and I ended up with a medium to dark tan that looked amazing. I was happy with the darkness of the tan and how natural it looked.
The one thing that confused me about Bellamianta Dark Rapid Mousse is that the bottle and the website have different directions as far as how long to leave on to achieve a dark tan. The website says for a dark tan to leave on 6+ hours, which makes it more like a regular tanner than a rapid one. So that confused me.
The smell of this product is just okay; I’m not in love with it. It kind of resembles citrus cleaning products in my opinion.
The application and drying time aren’t bad.
So overall, I really like this rapid mousse and I highly recommend it.
Look and Feel
This self tanner is a mousse, with a fluffy, airy texture.
The mousse is brown in color, so the color guide is pretty dark.
Applying this lotion is pretty easy as far as mousses go. Yes, it has a dark guide so you need to be careful not to get it on anything that isn’t your skin. It will stain it if you do.
I used a tanning mitt to apply, and I highly recommend you do as well. It helps with easy application and will protect your palms from getting stained.
The guide blends in pretty well, but looks a little streaky at the end.
I usually prefer applying lotions in general; I just find them easier and less messy to apply. But this mousse wasn’t too bad, I was surprised.
I left this tanner on for about 3.5 hours and I found it dried after about half hour.
While I waited for it to dry it felt a little sticky, but not too bad.
You do need to be really careful while waiting for this one to dry/develop; it stained one of my towels.
Smell (Before Application)
This self tanner doesn’t smell bad, but honestly it’s not my favorite smell either.
It kind of has a citrus smell, but it also kind of resembled a household cleaner smell in my opinion.
It’s very middle of the road as far as smells go.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
As the time went on, the DHA became a little stinkier, but it was never horrible. You can definitely smell the DHA though, even though they say they have an odor neutralizing technology.
The color produced is my favorite part of this self tanner (it’s also the most confusing).
This is a “rapid mousse”. The directions on the bottle say to leave on 2 hours for a light tan, 3 hours for a medium tan and 4+ hours for a dark tan. But the directions on the website say to leave it on for 6+ hours for a dark tan, which makes it not a rapid tan at all.
So I used as a rapid tan, and left the formula on for about 3.5 hours. After that amount of time, I showered the product off, and my skin was back to looking pale again. I then went to bed and waited overnight for my tan to develop.
When I woke up the next morning, I was actually pleasantly surprised by my tan. I had a medium to dark tan that looked really brown and smooth. It looked so natural, I loved it!
What I like most about this color is that it’s not fake or orange looking at all.
I’m very impressed with the tan I got from Bellamianta Dark Rapid Mousse.
How Long It Lasts
I found my tan lasted about 5 days with this self tanning mousse, which is pretty good.
It also faded pretty evenly, besides a few areas on my upper arms.
OK For Men?
Yes, I think this rapid tanner is one men will like.
Bellamianta Dark Rapid Mousse if $29.95 per bottle. That’s $5.91 per ounce, which is pricier than average, but not by much. I think this self tanner is worth the cost.
