If you’re looking for a versatile, easy-to-use, affordable self-tanner, Luna Bronze Eclipse Tanning Mousse is one to consider!
It’s easy to apply, dries down quickly, and gives you the option of a medium or dark tan, depending on how long you keep the mousse on for. A little product goes a long way, too, so this affordable self-tanner will last you a while.
It unfortunately has a nasty self-tanner scent to it, but overall, this mousse is an awesome self-tanner!
I’m really impressed with this brand and product as a whole, and would recommend it to anyone interested in achieving a gorgeous tan.
Look and Feel
Luna Bronze Eclipse Tanning Mousse has a dark brown color guard, and is a super foamy mousse. When applying it, it feels like an average self-tanner, so there aren’t any surprises in that regard.
Once you apply it to your body, it overall feels really comfortable. It leaves behind a slightly sticky residue until it dries down but it was still comfortable to wear immediately post-application.
I found the application to be super easy. Firstly, the dark brown color guard made it really easy to see where I was applying the product and ensure I had covered every inch of my body.
Secondly, this mousse is super foamy, which made it really easy to rub in and cover larger areas on my body. I didn’t have to go back and touch up many areas, which is a big win for any self-tanner.
The appearance of the color guard would prevent me from leaving the house after putting this on, but you can dress quickly after, which is really nice.
Finally, you can leave the tanner on for 1-6 hours depending on how dark you want your tan. I chose to leave it on for 2 hours.
The dry time is super fast! In 5 minutes or less, I was easily able to put my clothes on without fear of transfer.
There still a slightly sticky residue left behind, but overall, it’s dried down. I loved this aspect of the tanner. Like I said above, I didn’t leave the house before rinsing it off but I could move about my house and get other things accomplished.
Smell (Before Application)
Luna Bronze Eclipse Tanning Mousse smells like a self-tanner. They didn’t use any scents to cover the odor so it’s a pretty straightforward smell.
It isn’t overpowering, which is nice, but there’s no denying what it smells like.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
The self-tanner smell hung around until I rinsed it off.
However, a lot of times with other self-tanners, the smell will get worse, but that wasn’t the case here, which is a bonus in my book!
I’m pretty impressed with how dark the tan I achieved was after just two hours of wearing Luna Bronze Eclipse Tanning Mousse.
Luna Bronze says this is a medium tan, which I agree with, but I think you could easily make it dark if you left it on for the full 6 hours post-application.
The color doesn’t have any orange undertones, either. It’s definitely a caramel-brown color, which looked very natural and pretty. I’m really happy with the results!
How Long It Lasts
The medium tan I achieved lasted 3 full days. I was pretty impressed with how long the color kept.
It also faded nicely since there weren’t any streaks to begin with. Overall, this was a nice looking tan the entire time my skin held the color!
OK For Men?
I think Luna Bronze Eclipse Tanning Mousse has a very affordable price tag. You also get a generous amount of product, so I think this self-tanner would last you a while, as well!
