I ended up liking Natures Gate Sunless Tanner more than I expected to.
The color it produced was a nice medium to dark shade that looked very natural.
The smell isn’t very good, but it wasn’t the worst I’ve smelled.
The drying time is great, it dried completely in about 15 minutes.
Application is easy as well.
I just wish my tan would’ve lasted longer, it faded after 1 to 2 days.
So you’ll need to apply this one pretty often to maintain your color.
But overall, this is one of the better natural self tanners out there and I gave it 3 out of 5 stars.
Look and Feel
Natures Gate Sunless Tanner comes out as a slick, thick lotion.
The lotion is a light tan color, it immediately blends into your skin and doesn’t really act as a color guide.
The texture of this lotion is very nice and smooth feeling.
This one is pretty easy to apply due to the texture of the product.
It glides over your skin very smoothly, and the tan color isn’t messy.
I didn’t feel the need to use a tanning mitt when I applied this one, but you definitely can in order to be extra safe.
If you don’t decide to use a mitt, just make sure you wash your hands very carefully after you apply it.
This one dried pretty fast.
I was pretty surprised how quickly this one dried, because it’s pretty thick.
But it ended up drying in under 15 minutes.
My skin felt very soft after I applied this one too.
Smell (Before Application)
This product claims to smell like citrus, but I mostly smelled DHA.
There was a hint of citrus smell, but it definitely wasn’t strong enough to cover up the bad smell of DHA.
So I really didn’t like the smell of Natures Gate Sunless Tanner.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
The next morning when I woke up there was the slightest hint of DHA smell, but nothing too bad.
When I first washed this tan off, I loved how my tan looked.
The tan was a medium-dark shade that was so even and natural looking.
The sad thing is, my tan was short lived as it faded after 1-2 days.
I think if you apply this one every other day or so you can maintain a really nice looking tan.
I was actually surprised how dark this one got me, and how great my tan looked.
How Long It Lasts
Unfortunately, this one didn’t last very long.
My tan only laster about 1-2 days before it faded.
I wish it would’ve lasted longer because my tan looked so nice.
You’ll probably want to apply this one every other day to keep your golden glow.
OK For Men?
Yes, I think men will like this one.
If you’re looking for a natural self tanner, this one isn’t too bad, but you’ll have to apply it frequently.
The price point is great, and the color is decent.
The bottle sells for $10.29 on their website.
That’s on the cheaper side, it works out to $2.57 per ounce.
