Overall, this product was a little better than average.
There were some things I really loved about this product and others I was not a fan of.
You can’t beat the price of this product. The smell is absolutely fabulous. And the color is very dark.
As far as the negatives go- the color is a little splotchy and the application is somewhat messy.
Look and Feel
This product came out as a smooth lotion with a very dark guide.
It felt slick, almost like a mix between a gel and a lotion.
I found this lotion pretty easy to apply… although it can be a little messy if you’re not careful.
It has a dark guide in it, so you can see where you are rubbing it in.
It takes a few seconds to rub the product completely in to your skin as the guide is VERY dark.
Tanwise has the potential to be extremely messy if you get it anywhere other than your skin- also I’d suggest wearing gloves when applying!
This product dried completely in about 30 minutes, which is about average for a lot of products.
I would wait until this product is completely dry to put your clothes on, the dark guide can get all over clothes, towels and sheets.
Smell (Before Application)
I really loved the smell of this product. It smells like almond, I couldn’t get enough of it!! If they had a body lotion that smelled like this, I would wear it on a daily basis.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
After I showered this lotion off I couldn’t smell anything. There was no residual smell of almond or DHA.
The color this product produces is a nice, dark tan…BUT it is a little bit splotchy.
When I woke up the next morning some parts of my legs were very dark and others were not.
Other than some splotchy areas, the color was pretty dark which can be hard to find in self-tanners.
How Long It Lasts
This product lasted around 3-4 days, which is about average.
OK For Men?
I think the dark guide is going to scare men away. I also think the application may be too messy and the color a little too splotchy for men.
Tanwise is $10.99 for 8 oz. That works out to $1.37 an oz… that is extremely cheap!
